Home Remedies For Oily Skin

I have a combination skin since the beginning of time but God knows why and how recently I found it oozing just too much oil.Its annoying and instead of having a healthy dewy glowing skin, it looks like someone has slapped on excess moisturizer or oil on the fave.Having oily skin  brings issues of not only looking fresh but also in choosing the right makeup and skincare products. There are so many products in the market meant for oily skin but you can try some of these amazing home remedies too

Tomatoes

Tomatoes are great for oily skin due to their cooling, clarifying and astringent properties.Simply take some ripe tomatoes and make a paste. Apply it to your face and wash it off once it dries up completely to get a noticeable glow on your skin.You can also make a face mask by combining three tablespoons of tomato juice with one tablespoon of honey.

Egg Whites

Well if you are a vegetarian, this remedy may not suit you well but egg whites are a rich source of Vitamin A and are quite suitable for oily skin. They can effectively dry out skin blemishes as well as tone and tighten up oily skin.Whip one egg white until stiff and spread it on your skin. Allow it to dry and then wash it off with warm water. Do this twice a week.You can also whip one egg white, add the juice from half a lemon and mix it well. Apply the mixture on your face, leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. This will tighten the skin and soak up excess oil

Yogurt/Curd

Yogurt contains lactic acid that helps gently exfoliate the skin and absorbs excess oil from the face.Apply one tablespoon of plain yogurt thoroughly over your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then rinse it off with cool water. You can do this everyday.

Orange Peel

The vitamin C in oranges makes the peel a great choice for oily skin.It contains astringent oils which help to control the oil secretion and make you feel that you’ve oil free and glowing skin.Take some orange peels and dry it under the sun, then powder these peels using a blender. Mix it with rose water to form a paste. Rinse your face with water first and then apply the orange paste to your skin. Leave for half an hour and clean off with water.

Almonds And Honey

Almonds and honey both works fabulously as a gentle scrub for your face. They help in removing the excess oil, dead cells and other dirt from your skin when applied.Mix ground almonds with honey to make a fine paste.Gently massage the paste onto your face.Finally, rinse it off with water thoroughly and repeat it continuously until you get some relief from the oily skin.
