Tips To Keep Your Nails Healthy And Perfect

People notice your hands more than you might think. And if your nails are chipped, broken or bitten to a stump, it will create an impression, and not a favorable one.We often resort to manicures and pedicures to keep our nails healthy and perfect but what if there were very simple everyday tips which good help maintain your nail healthy rather than frequent trips to the beauty salon.

Yes, manicures and pedicures are important but not they only way you can have healthy and perfect nails. Here are some simple and straight forward ways to get your nails back in shape without much ado.

Moisturize The Cuticles

The cuticle is the natural barrier to fungus and bacteria — and once you breach that, protection is lost, so be very careful with them. Avoid cutting or pushing the cuticle to far.Your nails will look better if your cuticles are smooth and healthy.So moisturize them everyday with a cuticle cream or some oil enriched with vitamin E.

Keep The Nails Trimmed

We all love long nails but shorter nails are more neat, natural-looking and healthy.Trimming nails regularly helps you to maintain healthy nails and helps to avoid snagging or breaking.Use a fine file to smooth out the edges of your nails.

Avoid Acetone Based Nail Polish Remover

Everyone knows this by now.Acetone nail polish remover  strips the nails, causing them to become brittle. They are very harsh on the nails and strips them and the cuticles off their natural oils making the nails dry.

Wear Gloves While Doing The Dishes

While doing some household chores, it is always a good idea to protect your hands and nails by wearing a pair of gloves while washing the dishes because the chemicals in the cleansers and detergents may prove extremely damaging for your fingernails.It weakens your nails and makes them dry.

Eat Biotin Rich Food 

One of the best ways to look after your nails is to eat foods that are rich in biotin. Biotin helps thicken and strengthen your nails. This means eating eggs, cauliflower, whole grains, carrots, nuts, and tomatoes. A biotin supplement may also help.

Dip Your Nails In Olive Oil

Dipping nails in olive oil helps repair the cuticles and make your nails stronger.Put some olive oil in a cup or a bowl and soak your nails in it for about 15 minutes daily. This will make your nails more healthy and beautiful.
